Today I attended an Information Session (via phone) presented by the NSW Office of Sport, and acting Minister of Sport, Geoff Lee.
It was advised that all non-essential sport must now cease!
We have made numerous submissions to the Firearms Registry in an attempt to get dispensation for Pistol Shooters in regard to the mandatory requirements for licencing.
We have been told, for this to occur, it will require an alteration to the Firearms Regulations, and this has gone to the ministerial level.
As soon as we have more information on the subject, we will immediately inform you.
Rest assured, we are doing as much, if not more, as any other association, to look after your rights to participate in your chosen sport.
Please obey all suggestions and rules issued by the State & Federal Government regarding COVID-19 and stay safe.
